Privacy notice.

Hold That Shot Ltd is responsible for the personal details you give us. We keep it simple: we only use them to reply to you and to do the work you book.

What we collect

• What you put in our booking or contact form: your name, business, email, phone number if you give it, and the details of your job.
• Emails we exchange with you about your job.
• Anonymous visit counts. Our website analytics do not use cookies and do not identify you.

How we count visits

To see which pages help people and where our booking form loses them, our website records each page you view, the website that sent you, the type of device, its language, and simple actions such as playing a video, pressing a button or how far you scroll. On our forms it records which step you reached and which empty field stopped you, never what you typed. We also record your approximate town, region and country, worked out by our website host from your connection. We do not store your IP address, and we never record a street or postcode.

Nothing is stored on your device: no cookies and no other browser storage. A random number made when a page loads links the actions on that visit and is gone when you close the tab, so we cannot recognise you on a later visit. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded. The detailed records are deleted after 7 days; we keep only daily totals, which cannot identify anyone.

Why, and on what basis

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange your booking: because you asked us to (steps before a contract).
• To deliver the work and invoice you: to perform our contract with you.
• To keep business and tax records: because the law requires it.

We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Who else sees it

• Our email provider, which delivers form messages to our inbox.
• Our website host, which runs the site.
• Our accountant, for invoices.

Some of these providers are based in the US. Transfers are covered by the UK and US data bridge or the UK's standard contract clauses.

Enquiries sent from alexdoherty.tv come to us too, and this notice covers them.

Videos on this site

Preview images come from YouTube's image server, which sets no cookies. The video itself loads only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. After that, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that video.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Records of work we do are kept for 6 years for tax purposes.

People we film

When we film for a client, the client decides how the film is used. We help them tell the people on camera and record their agreement. Anyone filmed can contact us about footage of them.

If you join our crew list

If you sign up at our work with us page, we keep what you send (your name, contact details, the area you cover, what you do, your kit, rates, insurance and, for drone work, your CAA IDs) so we can offer you jobs near you. We keep it because you ask us to: in private storage that is locked to us, and as a copy in our enquiries email inbox. It is never shown on this site or shared outside Hold That Shot.

We review the list every 12 months and delete details we no longer need. You can ask us to delete yours at any time through the form on our contact page, and we will remove both copies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, object to how we use them, limit how we use them, or ask for a copy in a portable format. To do any of these, send us a message through the form on our contact page. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
